Today TractBuilder is releasing a new product, the TractBuilder Smart Layers! The TractBuilder Smart Layers allow users to symbolize and label their GIS features based on related data. With the Smart Layers you can form relates from a feature class to a spreadsheet or database and then use fields from the related data to label or color-code your map.
Now ArcGIS users are able to form relates to Excel® spreadsheets, Access® databases, and RDBMS systems including SQL Server®, Oracle®, PostgreSQL®, and MySQL® and use that related data for symbolizing and labeling. Unique functions of the TractBuilder Smart layers include its advanced relationship creation (including allowing users to create one-to-many relates, many-to-one relates, and daisy-chain relates in addition to standard relate functionality), symbolizing on multiple related datasets, and rapid replication of filter sets to other maps.
“There are so many applications for this product. People can finally pull data from multiple sources into ArcGIS, without needing to normalize the datasets beforehand, and use it to symbolize in a manner never before possible.” – Kyle Souza, TractBuilder
